Licensed School Nurse
Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing services, oversee and evaluate school health policies, develop and implement health plans, manage student health conditions, and maintain accurate health records.
Coordinate communication with families, healthcare providers, and staff; promote health education, wellness, and safety; respond to student illnesses and emergencies; and support emergency preparedness.
Participate in student support meetings, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and serve as a resource for staff on health-related concerns.
Monitor immunizations, conduct health screenings, and oversee communicable disease management and prevention procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:Current Licensed School Nurse (LSN), Registered Nurse (RN), and Public Health Nurse (PHN) licenses through the Minnesota Board of Nursing; CPR/AED certification; knowledge of Minnesota school health requirements and nursing standards.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, organizational, communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Duties:Implementation of health policies, coordination of health services, development of individualized health plans, health education, emergency response, and professional development.
