Registered Nurse Site Supervisor

Job Summary This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of clinic activities. The Site Supervisor will oversee administrative and clinical support staff, coordinate patient flow, ensure regulatory compliance, and resolve on-site issues to maintain a high standard of patient care. Responsibilities also include assisting with hiring, evaluating staff, maintaining schedules and assigning daily work. This position will also provide direct patient care and back-up coverage as needed, facilitate provider/patient interaction, and represent the clinic in organizational projects and committees and community events.

• Supervise clinic operations in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include assistance with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Coordinates team-based care to provide health services to individuals through effective partnerships with patients, their caregivers/families, community resources, and their physician. Facilitates a “shared goal model” within and across settings to achieve coordinated high-quality care that is patient and family centered.
• Assist with providing a strategic approach to detect early and manage effectively the chronically ill patient population.
• Participate in all Care Coordination related to Clinic Patients. Participate in all training and meeting activities.
• Provides safe and therapeutic anticoagulation instruction and patient education.
• Supervise staff to ensure that all health care practices follow legal and ethical regulations and clinic policies.
• Maintain appropriate daily staff schedule. Obtain coverage for sick call and planned absences.
• Ensure efficient patient flow and proper scheduling, and adjust assignments as needed.
• Carries out orientation and in-service programs; and other staff development activities for clinical and support staff.
• Supervises the performance of assigned staff including coaching, corrective action, and recognition.
• Processes payroll for clinic staff as assigned.
• Prepares agenda and leads monthly staff meetings to identify and resolve problems and to disseminate information.
• Communicate directly with the Chief Nursing Officer or designee regarding staff performance, clinic function, and quality of care on a regular basis.
• Ensure safe compliance with clinic safety and infection control policies and procedures and compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
• Oversee staff assignments regarding clinic stocking, cleanliness, and creating an organized and safe work environment.
• Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for all staff.
• Oversees clinic inventory and requisition of supplies and equipment.
• Provides direct or indirect patient care services, including, but not limited to, the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention or rehabilitative regimen ordered by physician.
• Serves as support to other clinic as needed including but not limited to front desk coverage, lab draws, rooming patients, assisting with shots, etc.
• Consult with providers on disposition of walk-in patients as needed.
