American Traveler is hiring an experienced OB/L&D RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications along with a Minnesota RN license.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit setting
- Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours), or
- Every other weekend or 3rd weekend commitment required
- Competent care required across Antepartum, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum areas
- Active Minnesota RN license required in hand or proof of application at time of submission
- Current certifications required: ACLS, NRP, BLS, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience with strong OB background required
- Charge RN experience preferred
- Skills required in Antepartum care, obstetrical triage, NST, fetal monitoring, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience with external fetal monitoring required
- Postpartum care skills including couplet care and postpartum hemorrhage management required
- Med Surg experience is an additional asset
- Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius will not be accepted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved prior to starting the assignment
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
- Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Minnesota state law requires all travelers to complete in-person Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing, on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, at their own expense
- Fingerprinting requirement applies to both Minnesota residents and non-residents
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
