Pillager Public Schools is seeking a licensed school nurse during the  school year as a long term sub while nurse is out for FMLA purposes. This position is servicing students in early childhood through Grade 12.
Qualifications/

Experience:



Required:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Successful background check required
Preferred:
Licensed School Nurse (LSN)
Bac helor degree in Nursing (BSN)
Public Health Nurse (PHN)
Experience in a medical, long-term care facility or school
Skills Needed:
Medical knowledge, ability to assess and respond to medical problems and emergencies, communication skills, accountability and conduct screenings.
Specific Tasks:
Identify health/safety concerns for students via health history, screening, etc. Make referrals, health education and counseling, record maintenance, participate on student learning teams, implement health service manual, staff in-service, develop programs to reduce/eliminate medical obstacles to students learning.
