Role Overview:
The Palliative Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive care for adult patients with chronic and life-limiting illnesses, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in both ambulatory and hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, education, care planning, and care coordination
- support transitions of care
- promote professional nursing practice
- lead quality improvement efforts
- delegate tasks based on skill and acuity
- mentor and communicate effectively
- participate in committees and projects
Must have a nursing degree from an accredited program, with at least one year of RN experience; BSN preferred; strong leadership, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills; adaptable to change and ambiguity; valid RN license and BLS certification required.
Additional Requirements:Ability to support TN sponsorship, with necessary state licensure and certification; internal applicants should provide recent performance reviews.
