Conduct comprehensive infection prevention and control assessments
Lead outbreak investigations, response efforts, and mitigation strategies
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs and policies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local infection control regulations and standards
Educate, coach, and mentor clinical staff on infection prevention best practices
Monitor healthcare-associated infection trends and identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical quality and resident safety outcomes
Support survey readiness and provide guidance during regulatory visits and audits
Develop corrective action plans and assist organizations in achieving sustained compliance
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain additional state licenses preferred
Experience in Infection Prevention, Infectious Disease, Public Health, Long-Term Care, Post-Acute Care, or Senior Living environments
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred, or willingness to pursue certification
Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS, OSHA, and other applicable infection prevention standards
Experience leading outbreak response and implementing infection control programs
Exceptional communication, education, and relationship-building skills
Ability to assess situations quickly, make sound clinical decisions, and lead change effectively
Willingness and ability to travel extensively based on assignment needs
