Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Day (Mon-Fri + Some Weekends)

Responsibilities

Operate powered equipment in trimming golf course greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
Lay sod.
Seed tees and fairways.
Maintain sand traps.
Assist with irrigation repairs.
Hand water.
Edge bunkers, sprinkler heads and yardage markers.
Work on landscaping and improvement projects.
Set up course.
Maintain ball washers.
Pick up garbage.
Prune trees and shrubs.
Maintain shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
Rake debris and leaves.
Remain alert, and inform management if anything appears out of the ordinary.
May work with large equipment including tractors, skid loaders and other maintenance equipment.
May be asked to perform tasks outside of job description due to diversity of work required in golf course maintenance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in grounds and maintenance work helpful.
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes

Basic knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and maintenance work.
Knowledge and understanding of golf.
Able to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
Able to follow written and oral directions.
Able to work well with others.
Friendly, courteous demeanor.
Detail-oriented.
Team player.

Universal Requirements

Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.

Physical Demands

Mobility throughout the facility. Able to walk extensively. Able to bend and stoop repeatedly. Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
