Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Manual labor and equipment operation and repair related to maintenance and upkeep of parks, athletic fields, ice rinks, pools, playgrounds and playground equipment, and park trails. Also maintenance of park lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants; seeding, sodding, and planting; mowing and aerating; trimming, transplanting, and removing trees and plants; weed control; routine welding, preventive maintenance; and plowing pathways and parking lots.
Must be available for extended work days, weekends, call back, shift schedule changes, snow and ice control, and other emergencies as required of the City's maintenance divisions. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe and well-functioning aquatic facilities. Must know or are willing to learn how to test and balance pool water chemistry, clean filters and strainers. Inspect pumps, heaters and related equipment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Work rotating weekend schedule during the summer.
Salary: $28.15 - $41.30 Hourly
