Job SummaryWe are looking for 1-2 full-time or part-time Veterinarians to join our team due to upcoming retirements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse range of animals and possess strong clinical skills. The caseload breakdown is approximately 50% small animal, 25% equine, and 25% beef/dairy/small ruminants. Large animal work is seasonal, with increased activity in the spring and fall.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a variety of animals, including small animals, horses, and livestock.
- Perform routine examinations, vaccinations, and surgeries.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Conduct herd health visits and provide preventative care recommendations.
- Perform obstetrical work and pregnancy diagnoses.
- Manage emergencies and provide after-hours care on a rotating basis.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach programs, including rabies clinics and coggins clinics.
- Participation in an after-hours call rotation.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Minnesota (or ability to obtain licensure).
- Experience in mixed animal practice preferred, but not necessary. New graduates with a strong interest in mixed animal medicine are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
