Position OverviewLafayette Club is hiring Ground Crew Team Members to help maintain our golf course and club grounds. Responsibilities include course setup, landscaping, mowing, trimming, bunker maintenance, irrigation support, and general grounds care. Team members play an important role in ensuring the property remains beautiful, safe, and enjoyable for members and guests.
SchedulePart-time, seasonal position with flexible scheduling Monday
- Friday. Early mornings and holidays may be required. Position will likely end in December 2026.
Starting Rate of $20.00/hour. Other benefits include Earned Sick and Safe Time and staff lunch during the season.
- Operate mowers, trimmers, and other grounds maintenance equipment to maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and clubhouse grounds.
- Rake and maintain sand bunkers, cart paths, and other golf course features.
- Remove leaves, sticks, debris, and trash from the golf course and surrounding property.
- Perform general cleanup and upkeep of roads, walkways, parking lots, and maintenance facilities.
- Set up and maintain golf course accessories including tee markers, pins, cups, benches, ball washers, signs, ropes, and hazard stakes.
- Assist with golf course renovation and construction projects, including sodding, seeding, aerating, topdressing, and soil preparation.
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, landscaping beds, ornamental plants, and seasonal decorations.
- Assist with drainage, irrigation repairs, and other grounds maintenance projects as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly maintain equipment and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent or Golf Course Superintendent.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous golf course, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or outdoor work experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining an exceptional golf course environment.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assignments efficiently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Dependable with strong work ethic and teamwork skills.
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion throughout the workday.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
- Moderate noise levels from maintenance equipment and machinery.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
