Facility Attendant

Starting wage $17.10 per hour
Approximately 20 hours per week

Are you passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for the Wayzata community? We are looking for a dedicated Facility Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring our athletic facilities are clean, secure, and ready for use. You will directly impact the community's experience by maintaining high-quality playing areas and ensuring all visitors have a safe and enjoyable time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Rules Enforcement: Communicate and enforce facility rules and safety procedures to all participants, coaches, and spectators.
  • Facility Maintenance: Keep all areas, including playing surfaces, restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, bleachers, and the concession area, clean and well-maintained.
  • Security: Follow and implement established security procedures to ensure the facility remains secure for everyone.
  • Customer Service: Be a visible and positive presence for the community. Greet and communicate effectively with all facility users, including community members, coaches, and players.
  • Operational Duties: Safely operate equipment as needed. During winter months, this includes removing snow from walkways and around the facility to ensure safe access.
  • Scheduling & Equipment Management: Monitor the facility schedule to ensure all groups receive their allotted time. You will also be responsible for accounting for any equipment provided to participants.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including snow removal.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
