We’re seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality systems, champion SQF initiatives, and foster a culture of excellence in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance leadership experience in food manufacturing.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in food processing, food packaging, or food production environments.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing SQF certification programs.
  • Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, GFSI, food safety regulations, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience leading customer, regulatory, and third‑party food safety audits.
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and CAPA initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and team development skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
  • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments and lifting to 30 pounds as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs for a food manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA (as applicable), SQF, GMP, HACCP, GFSI, and all local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee SQF certification efforts, food safety initiatives, and ongoing compliance programs.
  • Manage customer, regulatory, and third‑party audits to ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Develop and maintain GMPs, SOPs, sanitation programs, and quality documentation.
  • Monitor production quality, investigate quality issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead internal audit programs and verify timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality metrics, customer complaints, audit findings, and production trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with production, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve product quality and food safety performance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees on quality standards, food safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all PPE and company safety requirements.
