What you'll do
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols to enhance product quality and safety.
  • Participate in internal audits and inspections, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support the training of staff on quality assurance practices and regulatory requirements to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, reporting findings to management.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with R&D, production, and regulatory affairs to ensure alignment on quality objectives and compliance.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, ensuring that Bimeda remains compliant with all relevant standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions and audits, ensuring that all quality records are complete and accurate.
  • Participate in product development projects, providing quality assurance input to ensure that new products meet quality expectations.
  • Contribute to the development of a quality-focused culture within the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of quality principles among staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or veterinary science is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the pharmaceutical or veterinary industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory practices and procedures is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Nice to have
  • Experience with auditing processes and quality system assessments.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in quality assurance or related fields (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor).
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal health setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic quality management systems (eQMS).
Skills & tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with quality management software tools for tracking and managing quality metrics.
