The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet established quality standards through testing, inspection, and data collection. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations to identify issues, drive compliance, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Champion a safety-first culture in all activities.
- Conduct sampling, testing, and inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
- Perform physical measurements using precision testing and inspection equipment.
- Verify product quality through visual inspections and compliance checks.
- Investigate, document, and communicate quality concerns and non-conforming products.
- Support supplier and sourced-product quality evaluations.
- Conduct raw material testing and product retesting as needed.
- Troubleshoot quality-related equipment and testing issues.
- Maintain accurate quality records, test results, and calibration documentation.
- Perform equipment calibrations and support gauge management programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, standardization, and lean initiatives.
- Provide quality support and coverage across the Quality team as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in inspection, quality check, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, or other measurement equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with quality systems, inspections, testing, and documentation.
- High School Diploma required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing and/or quality experience in an industrial environment.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The role is within a production, manufacturing environment. You will spend about 15% of the day on the production floor, mainly working on a canister line. The quality team consists of three people who work closely together.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, MN.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
