Join Pro Source's Minnesota ROW Team

Pro Source Land Services is expanding its Minnesota Right of Way team for a major multi-year natural gas pipeline program.

We are seeking experienced Right of Way Acquisition Specialists who live in or near the communities where the work is occurring. These are full-time Pro Source employee positions—not independent-contractor or short-term day-rate assignments.

The project includes work throughout portions of southern and central Minnesota, including areas in or near Freeborn, Steele, Martin, Jackson, Watonwan, Scott, Carver, Stearns, Morrison and Isanti Counties.

Where practical, employees will be assigned territories based on their home location to minimize unnecessary travel and allow them to work within communities they know.

What You'll Do

As a ROW Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for managing assigned landowner relationships and completing acquisition activities from initial contact through execution and project transition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with affected landowners.
  • Present and explain easement offers, exhibits and project information.
  • Negotiate permanent easements, temporary workspace, access rights and related property interests.
  • Clearly document landowner contacts, commitments and negotiation history.
  • Address questions concerning project impacts, construction access, crop damages and property restoration.
  • Review title and ownership information relevant to assigned parcels.
  • Coordinate execution and delivery of acquisition documents.
  • Work with senior staff on difficult negotiations or potential condemnation matters.
  • Maintain accurate and current parcel status information in the project tracking system.
  • Coordinate with project management, survey, title, legal and construction personnel.
  • Assist with damage agreements and payments where assigned.
  • Transition into construction ROW support as acquisition territories are completed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to landowners and project leadership.
  • Maintain complete, organized and defensible project files.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • At least 3 years of directly relevant right of way, land acquisition, real estate, landman or utility infrastructure experience.
  • Demonstrated landowner negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand easement documents, legal descriptions, parcel exhibits and basic title information.
  • Strong written documentation and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field while remaining accountable to a project team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic project tracking systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable ability to travel throughout an assigned territory.

Preferred:

  • Pipeline or utility ROW experience.
  • Minnesota land acquisition experience.
  • Experience working with agricultural property owners.
  • Knowledge of crop damages, drain tile, construction access and restoration issues.
  • IRWA coursework or certification.
  • Experience supporting construction-phase ROW activities.

A college degree is welcomed but is not required where a candidate has strong directly relevant right of way experience.

The Person Who Will Succeed Here

We are looking for professionals who are:

  • Dependable and responsive;
  • Comfortable meeting people face-to-face;
  • Strong listeners and practical problem solvers;
  • Organized enough to manage multiple active parcels without losing details;
  • Professional when discussions become difficult;
  • Able to take direction while working independently;
  • Team-oriented and willing to help where the project needs them; and
  • Focused on reaching fair, practical and timely resolutions.

This position is not suited to someone who simply makes contact attempts and waits for direction. We need acquisition professionals who actively manage their files and know when to resolve an issue themselves and when to escalate it.
