Fisher School is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Assistant Cook to support our school nutrition program. This position plays an important role in ensuring our students receive healthy, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Assistant Cook works under the direction of the Head Cook/Food Service Director to assist with meal preparation, food service, and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in preparing quality meals for students.

• 30–40 hours per week
• Primarily school-day hours (no late evenings)
• Follows the school calendar

• Starting at $21.00 per hour

• Assist in preparing and cooking daily breakfast and lunch meals
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines
• Help serve meals to students in an efficient and friendly manner
• Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met

• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Properly store food and monitor temperatures
• Assist with dishwashing and cleanup

• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
• Help track food inventory and supplies
• Notify supervisor of low inventory or equipment needs

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff
• Support special events and meal programs as needed
• Maintain positive interactions with students and staff

• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices (Serv Safe certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
