• Set up serving lines and serve food to students, staff, parents and guests
• Comply with food and health safety requirements as governed by federal and state laws and regulations
• Greet and interact with customers in a respectful and prompt manner
• Operate commercial kitchen and cafeteria equipment, i.e. dishwasher, mixers, etc.
• Clean and sanitize: work areas, equipment, and counter/table surfaces
• Daily cleaning of kitchen space to include sweeping and mopping floors
• Follow proper restocking procedures and monitor expiration dates to ensure the highest quality foods
• Contribute to the efficient operation of the Food Service Department and the goals of the District
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

SNA certification level one (1) after three (3) years from date of employment. Must maintain level of certification during the duration of employment in this classification.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Ability to pass criminal background check

• Safety training is provided by School District
• Medium work:
  Employee is required to stand, walk, bend, sit, lift, and move objects.

• Hours are 5.75 hours per day for 175 days per year
• Additional training time as needed
• Schedule may be adjusted on days with late start or early exit from school
