Founded in 1973, Fresh French Fries (FFF) has been serving delicious, fresh-cut fries at the Minnesota State Fair for over 50 years now. Our first name is Fresh, and that's our top priority! Our commitment to freshness has made us a beloved institution at the fair, and a must‑stop tradition for fairgoers.

Over the years, our operation has grown from small, street‑side portable booths to much larger, established buildings. As our buildings grew, so did our extended FFF family. Our FFF crew consists of newcomers and seasoned crew members who have worked at FFF for 20+ years. Our diverse team continues to grow and change every year, but our product remains unchanged.

Fresh French Fries is looking for seasonal employees to join our team at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair. As a Seasonal FFF Crew member you will serve our patrons at either our Midway or Dairy location on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds by making Fresh French Fries and serving cold drinks.

Applicants should have a positive attitude, be enthusiastic and enjoy working with all types of people. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and prior experience working in the food service industry or the willingness to learn.

• Fairgrounds Admission Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Labor Day.
• FFF operational hours or scheduled hours will typically be between 8 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. (Midnight). Provide us with your availability accordingly.
• FFF pays for your fair entrance ticket to work your shift. Shifts are scheduled for a minimum of 6 hours per day. Indicate availability for a day that you can commit.
• Scheduling is based on the availability you provide and the needs of the FFF operation.

• There will be a short/informative training a few days before the fair. You will obtain fair entrance tickets, uniform and other information at this meeting.
• Compensation Expectations
  - Starting hourly wage + bonuses + tips: You will receive an hourly wage along with tips, and FFF bonus potential throughout the 12 days of the MN State Fair. Our crew members on average earn $13 - $18+ an hour, which includes wages, tips and bonuses.

• Serve – Serve Fresh French Fries and ice cold beverages to customers, using the Clover Point of Sale (POS) system. Engage customers and their families; you are the face of FFF in this role.
• Prep – Light to heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) of potatoes into peeling machine, operating hydraulic cutter (if over 18), and filling baskets with fresh cut fries.
• Cook/Fry – Work around multiple hot fryers in a fast paced environment; safety and cleanliness are key. Move hot fryer baskets through fryers and finally place freshly cooked fries into serving pans. Communicate with servers.
• Clean and stock – Clean and sanitize all work areas and customer seating areas. Fill ketchup pumps, beverage tubs, napkin holders, salt shakers, and malt vinegar bottles.

Help customers by describing product details and answering any questions they may have about dietary needs or allergens.

• Promote safety and cleanliness.
• Do not use mobile devices or earbuds while working inside the building.
• Follow through on commitments and the schedule; we are a team.

• At least some High School education.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Ability to count money/change and recognize counterfeit currency.
