Position: HK Golf Beverage Cart Server /DA Seasonal/Temp $11.41 to $15 w/tips
Location: Hinckley

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing dining service to all Guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner in accordance with Grand Casino/Grand National Golf Course service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
  • Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to Grand National Guests in accordance with standards.
  • Performs necessary tasks to service Guests, i.e., taking and filling all drink orders and assisting in maintaining beverage cart, stock areas, and course in a clean and neat manner.
  • Responsible for adhering to established cash handling control policies and procedures of Grand Casinos.
  • Responsible for knowing venue offerings and applying that knowledge with suggestive selling techniques to enhance Guest experience.
  • Responsible for restocking cart and stock areas with glassware, food/snacks, beverages, napkins, and any other items needed for service.
  • Responsible for the Guests needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
  • Answer any guest questions and directs concerns to appropriate management.
  • Address any Guest challenges to resolve them quickly and courteously in accordance with department standards.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all Associates, by always setting positive examples.
  • Participates as a team member with all Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of guest service.
  • Assist other personnel with maintenance (pro shop, cart / outside duties) as necessary.
  • Responsible for always maintaining a clean and sanitary area in full accordance with established health regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and Servers responsibilities and rights under it.
  • Knowledge of all gaming and beverage regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • One (1) year bartending and/or serving experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
  • Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
