Meat Journeyperson

Location: Walker

We are looking to hire a friendly, energetic, and helpful person to work in our Meat Department as an experienced Meat Journeyperson. In order to successfully fill this position, a candidate must have several years of retail meat cutting experience with chicken, beef, pork and fish. Excellent customer skills are necessary.

* This position requires the ability to cut meat to store standards and be able to present, wrap, display, and sell meat products.

* This job requires a person to work in both refrigerated spaces as well as on a retail grocery-selling floor.

* Experience on a meat saw, slicer, grinder, and cutting with knives is required.

* Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally.

* Meat Journey persons must have the skills and ability to complete all work necessary to every position in the meat department.
