Just Food Co-op in Northfield, MN is looking to hire a full‑time Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer to assist in ordering dairy and non‑dairy products for our grocery department. This grocery store position earns a competitive wage between $17.00 – $19.00 per hour and includes benefits such as paid time off, 20% off all in‑store purchases, an employee assistance program, a Simple IRA retirement plan with up to a 3% company match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for full‑time employees.

A Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer places day‑to‑day orders with established suppliers within the guidelines set by the Grocery Manager, builds relationships with suppliers and wholesalers, and secures high‑quality products aligned with department objectives for sales, margin, and customer service. This role requires careful attention to product dates to minimize spoilage.

Ensure all coolers are replenished, rotated several times daily, and maintained in optimal condition.

• Minimum of 1 year of previous purchasing experience.
• Ability to withstand cold temperatures for extended periods of time with appropriate attire.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. throughout an 8‑hour shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb ladders.
• Ability to reach above shoulder height occasionally.

7 am to 3:30 pm weekdays; weekend availability required.
