• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service with courtesy and patience.
• Greets customers, learns their names, and addresses them by name when possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, noting suggestions, and performing tasks to improve shopping experience.
• Reviews status and appearance of food for freshness, reviews orders for the day, and takes customer orders at the bakery counter.
• Works with co‑workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Understands and follows proper sanitation procedures, keeping the work area clean and neat.
• Ensures adequate food supply, follows production lists, anticipates product needs daily, prepares, finishes, and replenishes products.
• Pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking, checks in product, puts product away, reviews invoices.
• Runs the department registers, receives payment, makes change as applicable.
• Removes trash promptly, maintains strict adherence to guidelines on personal hygiene, dress, and policies.
• Reports to work on time and per schedule.

• Washes dishes as needed.
• Orders product and supplies as needed.
• Prices products for customers as necessary.
• Delivers orders as needed.
• Assists in other areas of the store as required.
• Performs other related duties and special projects.

• Must carry out detailed written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction; count and record figures.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions; request supplies orally or in writing.
• Less than high school education or equivalent; six months of similar or related experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly; perform movements such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
