The Sales Associate acts as a point‑of‑contact for customers, assisting them in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean store environment. The role supports the store manager in maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and stock merchandise.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers as needed.
• Follow merchandising processes: unpack, stock, restock, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
• Clean the store: take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms, receiving area, and set up sidewalk displays.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling to manage checkout station, stock merchandise, and unload trucks; may require pushing/pulling rolltainers.
• Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two‑wheel dollies, U‑boats, and rolltainers.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing with a step ladder up to 6 feet.
• Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise level.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
