Job Purpose:

- The Liquor Clerk at Hugo's Pine Ridge Liquors is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining the liquor department's operations. The role involves accepting deliveries, stocking shelves, building displays, and operating the cash register. The Liquor Clerk plays a crucial role in assisting guests with their purchases, ensuring compliance with state alcohol laws and regulations, and contributing to a welcoming and efficient shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept deliveries and ensure the accurate stocking of shelves with liquor products.
• Build and maintain attractive product displays to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance in locating products and answering queries about alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of state alcohol laws and regulations to ensure responsible sales practices.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to achieve departmental goals.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
• Exhibit problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address customer needs and operational challenges.

Required

Education:

- High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education:

- Coursework in customer service, math, or business
- On-the-job training in retail sales or cash handling
- Knowledge of state alcohol laws and regulations

Required Experience:

- Basic customer service experience
- Cash handling or point-of-sale system experience
- Familiarity with retail operations, stocking, and merchandising

Preferred Experience:

- Previous experience in a liquor store, grocery, or convenience store
- Knowledge of state alcohol laws and responsible sales practices
- Experience assisting customers with product selection and answering questions about alcoholic beverages Required
