Meat Cutter

Spartan Nash Associates, LLC is seeking a Part Time Meat Cutter to prepare and merchandise fresh meat products in a retail grocery environment. You will cut, trim, and package meat to specifications, ensure attractive and food safe displays, and follow strict sanitation and safety standards. The role includes rotating stock, labeling, and assisting customers with product selection and special cuts. You will work closely with store and meat department teams to maintain quality, efficiency, and excellent service in a people first, values driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, and other meats to store standards and customer requests
• Package, weigh, and label meat products accurately
• Maintain strict sanitation and food safety practices in the meat department
• Rotate and stock product to ensure freshness and minimize shrink
• Set and maintain attractive meat cases and merchandising displays
• Monitor product temperatures and equipment for safe operation
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and special orders
• Follow company and regulatory guidelines, including USDA and health codes
• Use knives and meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with store and department teams to meet sales and quality goals
