Assistant Store Director

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking an Assistant Store Director to help lead daily operations in our neighborhood-focused, natural and organic grocery store. In this role, you'll support the Store Director with staffing, scheduling, and coaching a customer-focused team while ensuring fresh, well-merchandised departments that reflect our farmers-market feel. You'll oversee inventory, sales and margin targets, cash handling, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director in day-to-day store operations and execution of company standards
• Lead, coach, and schedule team members to ensure adequate coverage and strong customer service
• Oversee merchandising, signage, and product presentation to reflect Fresh Thyme's fresh and natural focus
• Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and shrink to meet sales and margin goals
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
• Support front-end operations, including cash handling, POS accuracy, and customer issue resolution
• Review sales reports and KPIs to help drive store performance and community outreach initiatives
