Job Purpose:

- The Service Counter Manager at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the customer service desk, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This role involves managing inquiries, coordinating with various departments, maintaining accurate records, and handling customer instances efficiently. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline service processes within the store.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the customer service desk.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide solutions to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with different departments to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records, schedules, and reports.
• Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Run daily reports and reconcile cashier tills.
• Handle customer instances and answer phone calls professionally.
• Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Utilize POS systems and manage cash handling efficiently.

• High school diploma or GED

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, retail management, or a related field
• Associate’s degree plus relevant supervisory experience

• 1–2 years in retail, cashier, or customer service roles
• Experience handling cash, POS systems, or returns

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous office or customer service experience preferred
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus
