Position: Business Development Specialist (precast concrete, ready-mix, aggregates)
Location: Albertville

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development persong to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and driving sales growth throughout the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate understands the construction industry, can read and interpret project plans and specifications, and enjoys building relationships with contractors, engineers, municipalities, developers, and DOT agencies. Experience in precast concrete, construction materials, or related building products is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, architects, developers, and municipal clients.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the territory.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify precast opportunities.
  • Generate accurate quotations and proposals.
  • Follow projects from bidding through award and final delivery.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct jobsite visits and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
  • Maintain customer and project information within CRM software.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends.
Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in construction, building materials, precast concrete, ready-mix, aggregates, or related industries.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the territory.
