Summary
Responsible for providing a wide variety of support services locally to promote the company's product portfolio via the telephone, in‑person appointments and internet to support the Company's reputation of excellence and to increase company revenue.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Consult and educate on one product line in person, over the phone and through e‑mail to identify customers’ needs in the Resident State
- Quote and educate customers on company products and services
- Ensure confidentiality and control access to sensitive information
- Update and maintain customer interactions and data by recording detailed notes in the CRM in accordance with policies and procedures
- Assist customers by enrolling in both on and off‑exchange policies
- Deliver sales presentations to educate, inform and provide solutions to potential customers
- Communicate with consumers regularly regarding product information, rate changes and key benefits
- Assist with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a related field
- Two (2) or more years general insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, web‑based business, business‑to‑business customer service or call center) experience
- Accident/Life/Health Insurance licenses in Resident State upon hire or obtain within 30 days of date of hire
- Working knowledge of insurance services industries and specific current knowledge of product
- Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, telephone system, etc.
- Skill in the use of time management and organization skills
- Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook software preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner
- Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, make and execute decisions
- Ability to be a self starter, motivated and accomplish goals and tasks within a given time frame
- Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations
