Work Hours- Sunday: 2:00 p – 8:30 p
- Friday and Saturday: 1:15 p – 9:30 p
$21/hr
ResponsibilitiesMore of a loss prevention job than a security job. We check vehicles in and give directions as to where their product is in the lumber yard. When they come to exit, we check to make sure that the product that they purchased is in fact the product that they have in their vehicle or trailer.
Tasks include:
- Check orders and count purchased product
- Use hand‑held computers – must have a good understanding of computers
- Have good knowledge of the building industry and construction
- Be able to walk long distances, especially during busy summer months
- Communicate well with the public
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues
- Request emergency personnel for high‑risk situations
