Founded in 1987, Emergency Apparatus Maintenance Inc. is a modern facility specializing in full service Fire Apparatus and Ambulance repair and routine maintenance. EAM Inc. specializes in on-site service and repair and testing of all types of Fire Apparatus and Emergency Vehicles, providing repair and maintenance services from bumper to bumper. Our Main office and repair facilities are located in Lino Lakes, Minnesota about 15 minutes north of Minneapolis/St.
Paul. The 12 bay shop is a well-equipped state of the art facility. We currently service over 3500 fire and EMS departments. Our service fleet includes 15 fully stocked trucks & 14 portable pump test units available to provide service at any location. Providing on-site mobile service to over 20 states. Proud ESOP Member since 2009.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Diesel Mechanic located in Lino Lakes, MN. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. Day-to-day tasks will include performing preventive maintenance, conducting vehicle and equipment inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met. You will also work closely with the maintenance team to maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Enjoy travelling, servicing, and maintaining emergency vehicles that the communities depend on, while making an impact and building relationships with local, dedicated Fire and Rescue teams.
Qualifications
- Skills in Vehicle Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance
- Proficiency in Diesel Mechanics for diagnosing and repairing engines
- Experience with Heavy Equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- ASE Certification or equivalent is advantageous
