Journeyman Plumber - Commercial Installation Lead

Location: Perham Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 6:30 am to 5:00, Fridays as needed Pay Range: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience

Esser Plumbing and Heating is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber – Commercial Installation Lead to join our growing commercial team. This position is for a skilled professional who can run commercial plumbing jobs from start to finish
, lead crews on-site, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

If you have strong commercial install experience and are ready to take ownership of projects and lead in the field, this is a high-impact role with long-term opportunity.

• Lead and execute commercial plumbing installations on job sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily job site activities
• Direct and mentor apprentices and junior plumbers
• Install piping systems, fixtures, and equipment in commercial settings
• Ensure all work meets code requirements, safety standards, and project specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
• Manage materials, tools, and job site organization
• Identify and resolve installation challenges in real time

• Licensed Journeyman Plumber (required)
• 4+ years of commercial plumbing installation experience (required)

• Proven experience running jobs and leading crews
• Strong ability to read and work from blueprints and plans
• Solid understanding of commercial plumbing systems and installation methods
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift and carry materials and tools up to 60 lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and awkward positions
• Able to bend, kneel, climb, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Work performed in varying environments and temperatures, depending on season and job location
