Position: WELDER 1ST CLASS
Location: Renville

Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative has a great opportunity for an experienced candidate as a Welder. The position's main responsibilities include performing simple pipe layouts, maintaining cutting and welding and lead equipment, and pipe rigging and lifting.

Responsibilities

Cut and fit all shapes of steel (pipe, structural, flat, angle) accurately
Work safely; follow all safety procedures (including hot work permit, personal protective equipment (PPE) and confined space policies
Read mechanical blue prints

Requirements

Must pass the 6G bend weld test with stick electrode
Must be able to wire weld
Must pass the pipe fabrication test (read and follow print, cut and prep pipes to correct length; tack all pieces together with correct orientation)
Lift and/or carry 75 pounds
Work at heights (ladders and scaffolding); work inside and outside in all temperatures
Must be able to communicate with a variety of audiences and skill sets to identify and resolve problems.
