Lineworker

Brown County REA is seeking a skilled and safety‑conscious 1,000‑Hour Lineman to support our electric utility operations. This is a temporary position with a cap of 1,000 total working hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in line construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power distribution systems.

• Assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems
• May need to climb poles and operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment
• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical lines and associated equipment
• Perform switching operations according to procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies

• Must possess a Powerline Technology diploma or higher
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and respond to emergency outages as needed
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check
• Ability to lift heavy materials, climb poles, and work at heights
