We are looking for a skilled Master Electrician to join our maintenance team at a meat packaging facility. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant’s electrical systems, equipment, and machinery while adhering to safety protocols.

• Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.
• Operate power, hand tools, and specialized electrical equipment.
• Construct and maintain service equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
• Requisition materials and supplies from the stockroom and recommend purchases.
• Transfer primary power from one source to another.
• Install conductors, splice cables, build terminations, and hang primary power lines.
• Perform trades work incidental to electrical responsibilities.
• Repair, maintain, install, and modernize electrical systems for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Locate and diagnose electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
• Repair malfunctions by replacing burnt elements, fuses, wiring, and cleaning motors.
• Test electrical equipment such as motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency.
• Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
• Perform other duties as required by manager or supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Master Electrician Certification from the State of Minnesota.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor of Science degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of personnel and contractors.
• Preferred: ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, or scissor lift.
• Obtained Lockout/Tagout, Hazmat certifications, and confined space training.
• Physical requirements:
  
  stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, reach overhead, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Work in a production environment with high noise levels, moving equipment, animal fat, grease, chemicals, heat, cold, and wet conditions.
• Display sound judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
