OverviewFederated Co-ops is currently seeking a skilled individual with mechanic skills to support our fleet services operations, working out of our new state‑of‑the‑art facility located in Ogilvie, MN. This key team member will maintain our diesel fleet and repair heavy equipment used in our operations including trucks, wagons, sprayers, spreaders, conveyors, and any other equipment needed to ensure efficient and safe operations.
The Technician / Welder will maintain and repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn‑out parts, change hydraulic systems and fluids, and may fabricate parts as needed. This position will provide quality preventive maintenance and repair to damaged equipment.

Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Must meet company safety standards.
Qualifications- High School Diploma.
- 5 years of hands‑on experience in diesel and gasoline engine vehicles.
- Experience with commercial hydraulic maintenance and repair.
- Experience with conveyors, agriculture, or construction equipment maintenance and repair is preferred.
- Ability to drive commercial vehicles with a valid CDL is required.
- Should be able to utilize the tools essential to the job function.
- Certified welder preferred, but not required.
- Will operate commercial vehicles in support of company busy season as needed.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Must routinely operate computerized equipment along with lathes, welding torches, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, screwdrivers, pliers, mallets, and precision gauges. Must stand, stretch, and crouch for extended periods of time. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
Wage range: $26 – $32 per hour. Pay will vary by experience, education, training, and certifications.
