Residential Service Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a versatile and customer‑oriented Home Services Technician to join our team at Marvin Home Center. This full‑time role involves hands‑on work such as drywall, finish carpentry, and window/door installation, as well as in‑house maintenance for Marvin Headquarters and Visitor Center and in‑store support with sales and stocking during slower periods.

Additionally, the position requires on‑call service for maintenance and emergency repairs at company‑owned Warroad Real Estate properties, including seasonal check‑ups and coordination with contractors.

Monday–Friday full‑time. On‑call weekends for Warroad Real Estate.

• Manage and perform small repair, installation, and maintenance jobs for residential, light commercial, and company facilities.
• Drywall patching and repair.
• Siding and gutter repair.
• Basic landscaping and trimming.
• Pressure washing and window cleaning.
• Window installation and adjustments.
• Finish carpentry, trim work, and custom wood projects.
• Shelving, cabinets, countertops, doors, window coverings, weatherstripping, and other hand‑yman tasks.
• Provide on‑site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials.
• Deliver excellent customer service at job sites and in‑store.
• Operate hand and power tools safely in compliance with company and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
• Load, transport, and unload materials for projects as needed.
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations.

• Perform routine maintenance and seasonal check‑ups.
• Respond to emergency repairs.
• Coordinate advanced repairs with preferred contractors and manage the repair process until completion.

• Proven handyman, maintenance, or construction experience.
• Skilled in drywall repair, window and door installation, and finish carpentry.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.

Pay: $31.00 – $42.00 per hour.
