Public Works Supervisor
The City of Appleton is currently accepting applications for a Public Works Supervisor. The position, under limited direction, supervises, inspects and evaluates the work of personnel in the operations, maintenance and repair of water, sewer and storm drain systems, streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, cemetery, swimming pool; performs more complex duties associated with water, sewer and storm drain systems operations.
Responsibilities- Supervises, inspects, and evaluates the work of personnel in operations, maintenance and repair of water, sewer and storm drain systems, streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, cemetery, swimming pool.
- Performs more complex duties associated with water, sewer and storm drain systems operations.
- Minimum 5 years municipal experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- MN Class B CDL with air brake and manual transmission.
- Preferred: 2 years supervisory experience, Class C Water and Wastewater licenses, supplemental training in public works and education in supervisory practices.
- Must complete and pass a pre‑employment physical and drug test and be subject to post‑accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, and follow‑up drug and alcohol testing required by federal regulations.
