POSITION: MECHANIC
The current vacancy is for a full-time position in the Lake County Highway Department in Two Harbors.
2026 SALARY: $26.10.- $35.23 per hour CLOSING DATE:
Open until filled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D.; 1-year maintenance and equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a valid Class A Commercial Driver's license.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for performing skilled work in preventative maintenance and mechanical repair. Responsibilities may include inspecting machines for maintenance needs; determining and conducting appropriate maintenance, repair or replacement work; welding/fabricating; and operating applicable equipment and tools.
