Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Maintenance, or related technical training preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, and equipment manuals. Valid Minnesota driver's license required.

Experience Requirements

Previous experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, or Electro-Mechanical Technician preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing production machinery, industrial equipment, and automated manufacturing systems. Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and fabrication systems. Experience using precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled equipment. Experience with welding, including MIG, ARC, and Gas Welding. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, machine alignment, calibration, and equipment installation. Ability to interpret technical documentation and identify root causes of equipment failures. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance tools, equipment, and replacement parts. Ability to work around moving machinery, production equipment, and industrial environments. Capability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring devices safely.

Job Duties

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment inspections on industrial production and processing machinery. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated manufacturing systems to minimize downtime. Install, replace, align, and adjust machinery, equipment electrical components, plumbing systems, and production controls. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical manuals to complete maintenance activities. Fabricate, assemble, disassemble, and repair machine components using welding, machining, and mechanical repair techniques.

Conduct equipment testing, calibrations, safety inspections, and performance evaluations to ensure reliable operation. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation. Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and company procedures while supporting production operations.
