- Set poles and place anchors for overhead telecommunication lines
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair overhead power lines and associated equipment
- Climb poles and towers and use bucket trucks to access power line
- Test electrical equipment and components for proper operations
- Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints and diagrams
- Follow all company and departmental procedures and regulations including all safety requirements
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
Pay: $23-$35/hr based on relevant years of experience
Essential Education andQualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience as a lineworker OR recent completion of linemen/lineworker training program
- Valid drivers license
- Valid DOT Health Card
- Possess strong knowledge of electrical safety, safety regulations and industry standards
- Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
- Class A Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must be able to endure activity involved with the job which may include prolonged and repeated lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, kneeling, reaching, holding, standing and walking
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
