Summary:
This position includes machine start up support, installation inspections, and informal customer maintenance training. This is an onsite front-line position to the customer and their impression of FAST Global Solutions customer satisfaction for new and existing equipment.
Job Duties:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides installation support to customers and integrators assisting in the areas of machine operation, mechanical debugging, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Provides onsite machine level training including theory of operation and mechanical maintenance.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Follows written procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Provides technical phone support and follows through until problem is resolved. Assists in coordinating problem resolution with engineering, operations, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Reviews service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product for customer support.
- Understands blueprints, sketches, schematics, drawings, part lists, and specifications for customer support.
- Assists in executing engineering test plans for R&D projects.
- Enters and updates CRM cases.
- Supports assembly as needed.
Travel to customer site locations to evaluate and diagnose equipment failures. Travel plans will try to be planned and coordinated to fit personnel schedules. Unplanned trips will happen due to equipment failures. Planned training trips and equipment commissioning (start up support) trips could be at regular intervals. 50% travel may be expected. All travel costs are covered by FAST.
Education (or equivalent experience):Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
