The Warehouse Operator Lead provides hands-on leadership for daily warehouse operations s position ensures shipping, receiving, product handling, sanitation, documentation, and equipment upkeep are completed safely, accurately, and on time. The Warehouse Operator Lead protects product quality by following all PURIS safety standards, food safety programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and established warehouse procedures

Starting Pay Rate: $27.00 hourly

Pay Frequency: Biweekly

The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Actual pay may vary due to factors such as location, skills, education, and performance. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for ensuring that warehouse facility is kept in good repair at all times
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and follows all warehouse safety policies and procedures
• Completes product handling documentation according to established procedure including ERP transactions
• Safely performs product handling with use of forklifts or pallet jacks
• Complete all documentation as required
• Ensure product quality by adhering to all food safety programs and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
• Perform light maintenance and upkeep on equipment
• Perform and document all daily sanitation, and master sanitation duties as scheduled
• Immediately report equipment issues to ensure timely repair
• Manage day-to-day operations of warehouse, including: freight, returns, receiving, parcels and transfers
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations
• Assist the warehouse manager with printing of bill of ladings, Commercial invoice, and responding to customer appointments
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of shipping experience required
• Prior Fork Truck experience required
• Knowledge of GMPs and Food Safety highly preferred

Required Skills and Capabilities:

• Familiarity with logistics
• Knowledge of loading/unloading best practices
• Must be adaptable, detail oriented, and safety oriented
• Must be able to understand and independently follow through with processes

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours of your shift.
• Must be able to safely mount and dismount a fork truck regularly during your shift
• Must be able to lift 50 lb. bags occasionally
• Must be able to work safely at heightened platforms on occasion
