Role Description This is a full-time, HD Truck Mechanic role based in Circle Pines, MN. The HD Truck Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and emergency vehicles, including engines, drive trains, braking systems, suspensions, and hydraulic components. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, completing work orders, documenting services, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and compliance standards. The role involves using diagnostic tools, following manufacturer specifications, collaborating with team members, and communicating clearly with supervisors about vehicle status and repair timelines.
The HD Truck Mechanic will also maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance for heavy-duty trucks and related systems.
- Hands-on experience with Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment, including emergency service vehicles or commercial trucks.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of safety standards, DOT regulations, and manufacturer specifications for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and repair documentation.
- Relevant technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or heavy-duty truck repair; ASE or equivalent certifications are an asset.
- Previous experience as a heavy-duty truck or fleet mechanic preferred.
- Capability to lift and handle heavy parts and work in a physically demanding shop environment.
- Reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
