Behavior Intervention Assistant

Under the direction of the Administration, the Behavioral Interventionist serves to provide proactive behavior interventions for students with challenging emotional/behavioral, and social concerns. The behavioral intervention assistant also serves as a resource to effectively support the school's Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) framework. While this position will primarily work with K-6 students, you will be regularly asked to flex into the 6-12 space also.

Essential Duties:

• Coordinates and implements positive behavior interventions for identified students
• Works with building administration in the implementation of programs with positive and proactive behavior strategies and supports for the school community
• Serves as a member of the school PBIS team
• Assists in classrooms to meet individual and group needs as requested by administration
• Record and track student behavior data
• Work with teachers, intervention teams, school personnel, families, students, and other agencies to support student success
• Record and analyze intervention data
• Submit records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Other duties as assigned.
