MCEC Building Supervisor weekday evenings

We are specifically looking for Building Supervisors. The position requires working on defined weekdays and weekends.

• Provide customer service duties at the MCEC front reception desk, including answering telephones, mail distribution, basic computer tasks, and general office duties.
• On Saturdays, unlock and open the building, direct customers to their classes, shut down, and secure the building.
• Unlock and lock buildings and rooms for evening/weekend user groups.
• Assist with technology use if needed.
• Ensure building security and respond to emergencies (weather incidents, fire, intruder, etc.) and communicate with appropriate leadership.
• Prepare facilities for user groups and assist in setting up for their activity.
• Deliver class lists, handouts, evaluations, and other necessary materials to instructors.
• Visually check each area before and after activity to ensure readiness for the next day.
• Submit written reports for injuries, concerns, incidents, and other circumstances.
• Meet, greet, and provide information and directions to persons in buildings.
• Maintain a positive rapport with students, staff, administration, and the public.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Clear communication in speaking and writing.
• Outgoing, friendly personality.
• Ability to act independently.
• Familiarity with general office procedures, including multiple phone lines and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Arx/fee payroll or similar is a plus.

$18.54 per hour. Not benefit eligible. Starting hourly rates can be found under Appendix

C.

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 4:30-7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• Friday 4:30-6:00 p.m.
• Saturdays 7:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Minnetonka Community Education.
