Weekend Recovery Support Specialist

Red River Recovery Center – Dilworth, MN (Very close to fargo/moorhead area).

Red River Recovery Center is looking for a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Weekend Residential Recovery Support Specialist to join our team.

This position is scheduled every other weekend
, with additional weekday shifts available to pick up when extra hours are desired.

• Overnight: Friday & Saturday | 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• PM Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent part-time weekend schedule while still having the option to pick up additional shifts during the week.

As a Weekend Residential Recovery Support Specialist, you’ll help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals participating in residential substance use disorder treatment.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide day-to-day support and supervision to clients in a residential recovery setting
• Help maintain a respectful, recovery-focused environment
• Monitor clients and support adherence to program expectations and house guidelines
• Complete regular client check-ins and communicate concerns to appropriate treatment staff
• Observe and document medication-related activities in accordance with agency procedures
• Accurately report medication discrepancies, concerns, or other issues
  
  Complete required client documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
• Assist with daily residential routines, activities, and program needs
• Answer phones and assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
• Help maintain organized and appropriate common areas
• Provide encouragement and support while maintaining professional boundaries
• Communicate effectively with counselors, nursing staff, leadership, and other residential staff
• Follow confidentiality requirements, agency policies, and professional standards
• Assist with other residential program responsibilities as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, recovery services, human services, or a related setting preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach
• Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks
