Location: Cannon Falls
Overview
ERP Developer (IBM i / AS400) on a Contract basis, focusing on modernization and enhancement of core business systems across IBM i and modern web applications. Build, integrate, and improve ERP solutions that support business operations, legacy modernization, and long-term technical improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support ERP applications on IBM i
- Build and enhance web applications integrated with ERP systems
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Participate in solution design and technical architecture discussions
- Develop integrations between ERP and other enterprise platforms
- Modernize legacy applications while maintaining stability and performance
- Troubleshoot issues, recommend long-term improvements, and contribute to architecture, coding standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture
- 5+ years of ERP application development experience
- Experience with RPG (RPGLE / Free Format RPG) and SQL
- Experience building or supporting modern web applications
- Experience integrating ERP platforms with other enterprise systems
- Strong SQL and relational database experience
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders
- Experience modernizing IBM i applications
- Experience with ERP solution architecture or technical leadership
- Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or distribution business processes
- Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives
- Exposure to cloud technologies and API-first architectures
