We are looking for a Software Developer to join SOK Digital Development. Our primary workplace is our Helsinki office, Ässäkeskus, where we meet our colleagues several times a week. When duties allow, you can also work flexibly remotely for part of the week. You will be part of the core development team, working on the next generation of the sokos.fi online store.

The role focuses on improving customer experience and order fulfilment, building customer‑facing services and related backend services. By solving complex technical and product challenges, you will directly impact how customers experience S Group’s digital services at scale.

• Full‑stack development across backend and frontend services.
• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions.
• Continuously improve software quality and development practices.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, business developers, and other stakeholders, emphasizing teamwork and shared ownership.
• Help the team succeed as a whole, deliver value to customers, and strengthen a product‑oriented and data‑driven way of working.

• Senior‑level full‑stack developer with solid experience in modern web development.
• Strong product mindset, capable of guiding others and making thoughtful technical decisions.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Excellent collaboration and pair programming skills, continuous improvement mindset, and a value‑driven approach to development.
• Data‑driven; able to support data‑based decision‑making, strengthen feedback loops, and coach these practices within the team.
• Experience in e‑commerce or product data is considered a bonus.
• Technical stack:
  Type Script, React, Next.js, Open Next, Contentful on the frontend;
  Node.js on the backend; AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, and SQS. Familiarity with Serverless Framework, Terraform, and Git Lab CI/CD.
