Sr Consultant, Software Engineering

Cargill is seeking a Sr Consultant, Software Engineering to drive advanced software solutions for its manufacturing operations. In this role, you will design, build, and integrate MSC-based and related engineering software, connecting plant systems, data platforms, and cloud services to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency. You will partner with engineers, operations leaders, and IT to define architecture, implement scalable services and APIs, and establish Dev Ops, testing, and security best practices.

You will lead technical delivery, mentor developers, and champion innovation that supports Cargill's mission in sustainable food and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MSC-based software solutions for manufacturing operations
• Integrate manufacturing systems, data sources, and cloud platforms to improve reliability and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to define technical requirements and architecture
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, security, and performance
• Lead technical delivery of projects, mentoring junior engineers and reviewing code
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployments
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis
• Document system designs, standards, and support procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing software capabilities
